Favorite Mixtapes of 2010
I’m going to go on record and say I know I missed a lot. Mixtapes are a dime a dozen, and it’s hard to keep up.
Also, I’m guilty, as I’m sure most music fans are, of downloading mixtapes then forgetting about them. If i’m not waiting for your mixtape to come out, or if I’m not really excited about your album, then it’s probably not getting priority play...

1. G.O.O.D. Fridays + See Me Now + MBDTF
Every song that Kanye released this fall.
2. Call Your Girlfriend - Robyn
Robyn was another pretty prolific artist. I really enjoyed her work because it was just like listening to dance remixes of good R&B songs.

So occasionally I’ll go on a kick an listen to an old song over and over again for a couple of days.
These are songs that I did that with, all year, that were released last year or the year before or the decade before.

I love me some Kanye West.
He’s all about putting on a show. And each performance he does is a testament to that.
Case in point, 2008 Grammy Awards.
He started with his hit, “Stronger”
This was a few months after the death of mother so he also performed his song “Hey Mama”. It was pretty touching and you can hear him struggling. Props my man.

So Amazon is running these daily deals selling albums as low as $1.99. And these aren’t your bargain bin greatest hits collections. Wake Up by The Roots and John Legend was $1.99. I bought the new Kanye album, deluxe edition, for $8.99. $8.99. The Gorillaz latest album is $1.99, too. Craziness, right?
